Wine Splash!

I love Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon’s because their distinguishing flavors are such a wonderful trademark in Napa red wines. The only problem with these great Napa Valley Cabernet’s is that they sell out so fast because of their wine celebrity status! I am very grateful to come across this exceptional 2016 Timber Point Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. It is what all Cabernet’s from Napa Valley strive to be!

In my glass, beautiful violet color with a ruby rim. Powerful, yet captivating aroma’s of red cherry, plum, olive, cigar box, and spicy notes. Full bodied across the palate, velvety, with noticeable refined tannins. Stunning flavors of brambly black raspberry, ripe red cherry, pomegranate, forest floor, and cocoa. Very bright fruit with a flawless balance of acid and tannin structure. On the second sip, more rich berry flavors came through with hints of loganberry and leather leading to a long, graceful vanilla oak finish. Beautifully complex with seductive layers of plush fruit and earthy spices. This is a fantastic example of a wine that can be paired with food or just enjoyed on its own! But, if you are pairing with food, this Timber Point Cabernet Sauvignon could be paired with grilled red meats, New York strip, Filet Mignon, lamb, pepper-crusted Ahi Tuna, lasagna, grilled veggies, mushrooms, and medium to sharp cheeses. 92 Points!
