Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rosé Cellier d’Eguilles Belles d’Eguilles

Provence, France is the place to look when searching for a flavorful, bright, and refreshing Rosé! The climate is just right for the growth of the grapes and the Mediterranean breeze keeps the cool nighttime air circulating. The wine I am sampling is the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rosé Cellier d’Eguilles Belles d’Eguilles and it is impressive. This 2019 Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan with proportions that vary from year to year.

In my glass, a light pink with salmon color hues. Lively aromas of red berries, strawberry, citrus, and melon. Light in body on the palate, clean, with a good acid structure. Vibrant flavors of ripe strawberry, raspberry, honeydew melon, and notes of wet stone. Fresh fruit with all the nuances of an outdoor café along the Mediterranean! The next sip brought more red berry flavors with hints of lemon, red cherry, and Rhubarb leading to a refreshing citrus mineral finish. Delicious, exotic, and great at a party or brunch! Pair with appetizers, seafood, BBQ Pork, baked ham, salads, and medium cheeses. 92 Points! (Wine Splash!).
