Chateau Paradis Coteaux D’Aix En Provence Rosé
Lets talk summer…..summer in a wine bottle…..sunshine in a glass…..if you are talking about wine, then you are definitely talking about Rosé! And there are not many places in the world that can compete with the flavors and styles of rosés than the Provence region of France. With its beautiful Mediterranean climate, limestone soils, and wine making techniques, you can always find a flavorful, refreshing rosé from Provence. I am sipping a wine from Chateau Paradis Coteaux D’Aix En Provence “Essentiel” Rosé 2019 and it is delicious! It is a blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and all produced in stainless steel. I agree with Chateau Paradis that this wine is “Essentiel” (or Essential) to add to your wine cellar!
In my glass, bright salmon in color with glints of pink. Vibrant aromas of strawberry, raspberry, citrus, and white flower. Light to medium bodied across the palate, smooth, with low acid. Bright flavors of white peach, ripe strawberry, citrus, and mineral. This is a dry wine but because the acid is low, it is more fruit forward and you can really experience the fresh fruit without the wine appearing to be sweet. On the second sip, the strawberry is getting wild and the citrus is showing even more! Easy going, fresh fruit, and all leading to a clean, lively, mineral finish. If you are looking for paradise, here is some “Paradise in a Bottle”! This is a fun rosé that loves food, fun, and a party! Pair this rosé with appetizers, shrimp cocktail, seafood, baked ham, grilled meats or vegetables, salads, and light to medium cheeses. I had a nice Romaine lettuce salad (with tomato, cucumber, and cheddar cheese) with a BLT on Lawash bread. It was great! This is a fun wine with great flavors. 92 Points! (Wine Splash).
