Encantado Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Some wines just seem to send out this “vibe” and for me, that relates to music and how music and wine can change your mood and attitude in a very short time! Encantado is a wine that is just like that. You can feel the rhythm of the music and you can sense the rhythm of the wine as you sip this Encantado Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017. Encantado means “charmed” in Spanish and that is a great way to describe this wine…….charmed and enchanting. The Encantado Cabernet Sauvignon is the little brother to the flagship Pine Ridge Vineyard and produced by this well-regarded vineyard from the Stags Leap district. No singing the blues here. This is all beautiful Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with the distinguished heritage to back it up!

In my glass, deep garnet in color with hints of violet. Plush aromas of dark berries, currant, chocolate, Asian spice, and hints of cigar box. Smooth and luxurious across the palate, bold, with a chorus of noticeable tannins. An elegant, symphony flavors of blackberry, ripe plum, currant, and lovely exotic spices. This wine is music to my taste buds…..and my soul! On the second stanza, rich dark fruit and exotic spice were in the limelight with hints of cocoa, olive, and cherry led to a smooth, vanilla oak grand finale! The balanced flavors truly harmonized together and kept unfolding new flavors layer by layer. You can definitely pair this Encantado Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled meats, roasts, tomato based pasta’s, or medium to sharp cheeses. But for the soul, you can also pair this wine with some B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Bonamassa, or Ray Charles music and make it an uplifting experience! 94 points! (Wine Splash).
