Cougar Rock Vineyard is located in the Atlas Peak region of Napa Valley where the land is blessed with loamy soils of clay, gravel, and sand. These conditions bring out some of the best in Chardonnay grapes which we have re-discovered in this bottle of the 2017 Brick and Mortar Chardonnay!

In my glass, straw in color with a yellow rim. Intoxicating aroma’s of tropical fruit, citrus, sandalwood, and Créme Brulée! Full bodied across the palate, creamy texture with a noticeable acid structure. Exquisite flavors of lively pineapple, Meyer Lemon, dried pear, and lovely caramel. Beautifully mesmerizing on the palate with many layers of flavors. The second sip revealed more bright tropical fruit, savory spices, with hints of butterscotch and mineral leading to a long and creamy vanilla oak finish. This Brick and Mortar Chardonnay is perfect on many levels with its bright fruit, elegant spices, and expressive creaminess on the palate. This is definitely a Chardonnay to experience life and enjoy. Pair this wine with baked or fried chicken, turkey, steamed lobster or crab with butter sauce, fettuccine with alfredo cream sauce, summer salads, and medium to sharp cheeses. 94 Points!
