Wine Splash!

The Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California, is the place to be for rich and full bodied Chardonnay’s! This is just the right soil and climate that Chardonnay loves and we are very lucky to get to indulge in its hedonistic flavors. This Rockridge Chardonnay is for that refined Chardonnay palate who loves a little oak character in their wine. In my glass, golden in color with a day bright rim. Alluring bouquet of tropical fruit, pear, caramel, spice, and oak. Full bodied mouthfeel that is lush with a perfect acid structure. Savory flavors of bright citrus, pineapple, starfruit, and exotic spices. I am being transported to an elegant soiree at the beach after a glass of this Chardonnay! On the second sip, more tropical fruit came through with notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice leading to a long, medium oaked finish.

This Rockridge Chardonnay is nicely balanced between vibrant tropical fruit, spices, and oak. Elegant and refreshing. Pair with grilled salmon, seafood, chicken, pork, fresh salads, and medium to strong cheeses. 92 Points!  (Wine Splash).
