Cana Vineyards Rkatsiteli 2016
Tempting Tuesday is all about enjoying one of your favorite wines and tonight we spoiled ourselves and enjoyed a Rkatsiteli from Cana Vineyards and Winery of Middleburg in #Virginia! The Rkatsiteli grape is considered one of the oldest varieties in the world and has its “roots” in Russia and the Republic of Georgia. A white wine grape that grows very well in cold climate conditions so you are bound to find amazing tasting Rkatsiteli wines from Ukraine, the Republic of Georgia, Romania, the Finger Lakes in New York, and many counties in Northern Virginia. Light and easy going wines with flavors of citrus, tropical pineapple, apricot, and very slight hints of honey on the finish. Usually a dry wine aged in stainless steel and medium in acid. This is a fun and easy going wine that pairs perfectly with salads, pasta with cream sauces, Margherita Pizza, and much more! 90 points and around $25 a bottle! Cheers!
