Trefethen Family Vineyards Quandary White Blend

Quandary

Being in a “quandary” is something I am very good at since I can be perplexed in some difficult situations. But there was nothing perplexing here while I was experiencing this very quaffable and delectable white wine! From the prestigious Napa Valley, Trefethen Family Vineyards has taken their best white grapes, added some love, and created a lovely, tasteful wine. A blend of Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc and all from the Oak Knoll region of Napa Valley. I have always felt that wine blends are the signature of a good winemaker and the flavors have been married together to how the winemaker feels is its best presentation. And the flavors here are very delightful!

Chicken Caesar

Daybright color in the glass, clear, with hints of sunshine yellow. Sweet aromas of tropical fruit, lemon, and a hint of flowers. Across the palate, medium bodied with a bright citrus zest! On the first sip, ripe flavors of Meyer Lemon, passion fruit, and mango excited my taste buds! Very fresh, bright, and refreshing! On the second sip, more citrus came through with layers of white peach, gooseberry, and hints of herbs on a refreshingly long finish! The fruit here is very ripe which adds a slight sweetness on the finish but is balanced perfectly by the bright acidity. This a wonderful warm weather wine or anytime you need an ideal pairing for baked or grilled chicken, pork, pasta with a white cream sauce, or fresh salads. My Chicken Caesar Salad was an excellent pairing for the Quandary! 90 points and around $25 a bottle. Cheers!
