North 42 Degrees Pinot Noir 2013

North 42 Degrees

More great wines coming in from the Lake Erie North Shore in Ontario, Canada and this wine is a sure bet from North 42 Degrees Winery in Harrow. At a recent tasting there, we found all the wines to be very impressive and ended up getting a few bottles of each! But last night we enjoyed the 2013 Pinot Noir and it was perfect before, during, and after our meal.

In the glass, ruby in color and bright. Aroma’s of cherry, red berry, earth, and herbs. Medium bodied across the palate and a nice balance of tannins and fruit. Racy flavors of ripe red cherry, raspberry, baking spices, and hints of earth. On the second sip, more bright cherry came through with notes of clove, cranberry, and sweet oak on the long finish. A great wine to pair with salmon, ham, roasted turkey, grilled chicken, tomato based pasta’s, and medium to strong cheeses. This is truly a favorite Pinot Noir of ours and so glad we have more to look forward to! 92 Points and around $20 a bottle. WineSplashing!!
