Brutocao Mendocino Pinot Noir 2012
When you have four generations of wine making under your belt, you are bound to have some great wine making skills and know all the secrets of the trade! The Brutocao family have roots in Venice, Italy and have brought their passion for wine and Italian wine making techniques to California to make some of the finest wines around. And one of the best wines they produce is their Pinot Noir from the Slow Lope’ N Vineyard in Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. In the glass, ruby red in color and very clear. Aroma’s of bright red cherries, cola, herb, and spice! Medium bodied and very soft and silky across the palate. Stimulating flavors of ripe red raspberry, cherry, cocoa, and sweet baking spices. Very sensual, sexy, and whispers “come hither” while sipping its intoxicating flavors! On the second sip, flavors of fresh strawberry came through along with hints of clove and milk chocolate which leads to a long, toasted oak finish. Wonderful flavors, very well balanced, and scores at 93 points! An elegant, softer Pinot Noir that would pair well with pork dishes, ribs, grilled salmon, burgers, mushroom burgers, pizza, and medium cheeses. So get your “sexy on” and sip on this flirtatious red wine! If you have a 2012 vintage, you can drink this wine now through 2019. Average of $26 a bottle. WineSplashing!!
