Ripe and ready to drink! Garnet in color with a nose of blackberry, ripe plum, tobacco, and baking spices. Full bodied, robust, and grippy tannins across the palate. Flavors of ripe blackberries, black currant, eucalyptus, and forest floor. Lush fruit upfront but very herbaceous. On the second sip, more dark berry came through along with spice and a long vanilla oak finish. Very structured but opulent. Pair with Filet Mignon, grilled steak, pasta with a tomato meat sauce, and medium to strong cheeses. 92 Points! If you have a 2007 vintage, drink before 2017. Open an hour before serving.
