Wine Review: 2010 Augusta Winery Seyval Blanc
2010 Augusta Winery Seyval Blanc – USA, Missouri, Augusta (8/10/2012)
We truly enjoyed this wine and it is the perfect wine for summer! It paired well with our grilled chicken tonight! In the glass, clear yellow, daybright colors. On the nose, lots of tropical fruit, especially pineapple and some floral notes. On the palate, lots of lively acidity, medium weight mouthfeel. Exploding with flavors of ripe peach, pineapple, and citrus! Good acidity takes it to a long, mouthwatering finish. Crisp finish when chilled but as it reached room temperature, it became very soft and easy going…….which was nice for our meal. Great tasting wine to pair with food or just hang out on the patio on a hot day! Pair this wine with chicken, seafood, medium cheeses, or fresh summer salads. Versatile with many white meat foods, vegetarian, or cream based pasta’s.
On our SiNoTas scale, we rate this 2010 Augusta Winery Seyval Blanc an A-. Great flavors, fresh, fruity, and refreshing! Our wine dog Daisy gives this wine 4 Paws out of 5! If you have a 2010 vintage, I would drink this wine by the summer of 2013. Its very drinkable right now! Winesplashing! (89 points)
